The last of our conjectures, is that Virgil is no other than the Poet himself, the Author of the Æneid, who means by the word Hyems to signify the Winter-season. His reason is, that he had here occasion to mention the Months of the Year, and therefore by accident he thought of his own Winter, which was both the longest and the worst of the Year. But this last reason is in the highest degree improbable. It seems to me that the Poet had not so much of an intention to pass the Winter in Italy, when he thought it so long, as to say that he should take this opportunity of passing it there. If his intention was, to shew the Part of the Year wherein the Rising of Orion brings a Tempest upon Sea, and therefore is between the two, the Summer and the Winter, which was the case in Virgil's time, he would have said no more than this, dum pelago desaevit hyems, & aquosus Orion, that was not how long the Tempest last, but whether the Tempest was in the Middle or the latter end of the Spring or of the Winter. The Poet did not understand this, and this is the reason that makes him say Hyems to signify the Winter, when he should have said Hyems, for which I am more apt to believe, that it signifies the Spring and Summer; that by Hyems is not to be understood the Winter, but the rest of the Year. The Poet was so unfortunate as to be born in the Winter, and he always was and always will be regarded as such. He had a great inclination to have passed it in Italy, and he therefore brought it about that he might so do. And this is the reason that makes him say, that he was so long absent from Dido in her Ruins, where she fancied that he is dead, and of which he had so long heard: Dum pelago desaevit hyems, & aquosus Orion, &c. It had been much better for him to have been dead at that time, than to have been thus long absent from her.

Here is a recipe for crab meat. Or at least, what is supposed to be one. I’ve tried this recipe before, with the same results. Not sure what I’m doing wrong. I take 3-4 small whole crabs, crack their claws and legs, then pull the meat from the shell, boil it for about 6 minutes, then add the seafood seasoning. The meat is firm and has a sweet flavor. Hope this helps. (from ask.com )
